We have a problematic plastic shower tray which keeps leaking. Basically, the problem is that there is insufficient support and some of the users are heavy (18st), causing the tray to flex at the joint with the wall and eventually result in leaking.
Any suggestions most welcome - we've tried raking out and re-sealing, but this always fails eventually. We really don't want to have to remove the tray since this is part of the whole shower and the room has been recently tiled.
We were thinking of somehow jacking up the shower tray from beneath, perhaps using some timber to provide extra support. Any thoughts on this course of action?
