Shower Tray That Goes Behind Tiles

Hi,

Is there such a thing as a shower tray with molded vertial edge around the outside that can have tiles overlapping to avoid leakage.

Hope you understand what I mean....

Basically, I'm going to be fitting a shower tray in my upstairs en suite and know from previous own experiences and also friends' experiences, that these can leak around the edges where the shower tray is silicon sealed with the adjoining tiles.

What I'm after (if there's such a thing) is a tray which can come up behind the tiles for an inch or so, then seal over the top with silicon.

Any ideas, suggestions?
