If the tray is flat and level. the doors will sit on this flat surface, so there should not be a problem

forgive me for asking but doesnt the wall take the weight of the doors, not the tray?

As matter of intrest can you explain "overall weight issue" Am curious as to why you should be concerned

The weight will be on the tray, downward pressure, your just fixing it to the wall
I agree

If its a screen over a bath then the wall will take the weight..
If its a Tray then most of the weight will be on the tray ,, you run a nice bead of silicone on the tray where the door frame will sit and the channels you put on the wall are just support to stop it falling over.. IMO of course ;)
