Shower Valve suddenly Stiff ????

Hi

Our Mira 88 valve suddenly became stiff this morning. Kids having trouble turning it.

I've loosened it a bit by turning it back & forth, but I can hear a slight squeeling of metal on metal.

What do I need to do? Is it just a case of lubrication & if so, what type? & do I need to get inside the valve or can it be applied from outside?

sounds like it could do with a service kit which contains new seals etc.
which will need stripping down.

Thought that might be the case. I can do that no problem. Obviously, I'd have preferred to just lube the thing, but that's me being bone idol for the same of an hours work.

Nope, we have a Megaflow. Been in a couple of years. No change, it just went stiff this morning (that brings back memories, Ooer missus)
