I have a Mira 88 mixer shower that has been in use since we moved into the house which was a new build in 1995. The shower has worked fine for all the years. Got in shower last night as usual, flow control worked fine, went to turn it off and it had gone very stiff. Did manage to turn it off. My wife cannot move it. Looking at previous posts and service diagrams it all looks very complicated ( to me anyway), not confidant with plumbing stuff, can change a tap valve but that's about my limit. Mira want about £200 to do a service. Is that my only option? Why has it suddenly gone stiff?
