Shower wall panels .. Corner Bead or Silicone

My daughter bought a flat with a troublesome Shower that i keep patching up but keeps leaking a few months later.
We've ve bit the bullet and bought a new tray, Enclosure and 2 of 1mx2.4m Shower panels.
Im sticking the Shower panels over the existing tiles , can I just butt the 2 panels together in the corner and silicone the corner joint or do i have to get a Corner bead ??
All my existing tiling has just been butted up and siliconed with no issues , was hoping to do the same with the 2 panels

Silicone for me, every time.

Either or TBH - As long as the current substrate is good, clean and water tight then silicone will do. If it's a bit ropey then the corner profile provides a belt 'n' braces approach.

Beads won't get black mould growing on them like silicone can.

Silicone is what i would use.....go for a decent brand

I used the joint , much neater than just silicon .You need the base profile as well .

Belt and braces, with the bead loaded with a touch of siicone.

When it comes to showers and tray etc I always employ belt 'n' braces, the alternative can be a real nightmare.
