I received a replacement shower cartridge for my Mira combiflow shower as the water was running cold after a minute or so..i took the housing apart and realised I wasn't going to shift the existing cartridge (tried with pump pliers and no joy) I put everything back together and now the shower won't turn off..i realise I need a cartridge Puller to remove the old cartridge but what am I likely to have done to make the shower run permanently

Sounds like you've disturbed a seal, only way to stop it now it to replace the cartridge as you originally intended to do

Check it's not the heat-exchanger on your combi that is letting the water temperature drop off after a minute.

I've had that changed before Dave and since had a filter fitted so I hope it isn't plus all other taps run consistently hot I.e baths, washing up etc
