A newby seeking advice.
I moved into a terrace house in Walthamstow, London a couple of years ago. A combination boiler had been installed, along with new central heating. Over the last couple of years, my once powerful and efficient shower (upstairs) has been reduced to a near trickle (and taking an age to heat up). Downstairs the pressure/temp is fine. This has coincided with Thames Waters 'rezoning' program in my area (see link below) - reducing high pressure in problem areas to a consistent, but lower, level.
So, who is to blame my cr*p shower?
Is it indeed my shower/combination boiler? (which takes and heats water directly from the mains, rather than a tank)
Or is Thames Water to blame?
I know that some power showers require an increased bar level (higher than than minimum '1'), so if it is my responsibility , is there anything I can do about it? Is it possible to fit a pump to a combination system? Can I increase the bar pressure myself, or will this cause damage?
Any help greatly appreciated.
