The press has been briefed to stop moaning about unacceptable behaviour by politicians.

Look out for the words "witch-hunt" and "feminazis" in any articles you see, or interviews to be broadcast in the next few days.

It was bad enough when there was a fuss about "expenses" paying for house refurbishment and mortgages. It's not fair that politicians should be expected to behave to the same standards that we expect of decent people.

Nobody complained about Jimmy Saville and Cyril Smith, so why should it be different now?

received the memo....

"'Maybe everybody was sloshed!' Tory MP warns of a 'growing witch hunt mentality' surrounding Westminster sex pest claims that risks dragging blameless people into the scandal

Michael Fabricant said inappropriate sexual behaviour must be stamped out
  • But he said it is not fair to point the finger at MPs based on mere rumours
  • Dossier of sleaze circulating in Westminster lists 36 MPs branded sex pests "

didn't receive the memo...

"MP Michael Fabricant said, “I feel there is a growing witch hunt mentality currently going on.” TalkRadio host Julia Hartley-Brewer - who was touched on the knee some years ago by now ex-defence minister Michael Fallon - said, “I don’t wish to take part in what I believe has now become a Westminster witch hunt.” And Labour MP Jess Phillips reported overhearing two male colleagues discussing the current ‘witch hunt’.

The list of problems with calling this sex harassment scandal a “witch hunt” is longer than a broomstick.

Firstly, this is Westminster in 2017, not 17th century Salem. Men are not being made scapegoats for society’s ills, they are being called out for inappropriate behaviour."

It's almost as if someone is pulling their strings.

"You cannot hope to bribe or twist
(thank God!) the British journalist.
But, seeing what the man will do
unbribed, there's no occasion to."

Dafuq? Is this post a witch hunt or what?

Well, I suppose it's a change to a Brexit whinge hunt.

All this caper is getting out of hand tbh .

some of these snow flake politicians need to get a grip tbh . the poor dears may end up in Government & have to send UK troops into a war zone

or negoitae with some world leader , who has abused human rights , advocated torture , imprisoned innocent people

executed people , caused the death of thousands by ethnic cleansing etc etc

How will they cope Hmmmm perhaps they will have to take the advice of the Green party leader & all sign up to consent training at the tax payers expense :)

mean while some of these same deeply shocked and offended politicians , turn a blind eye oe remain silent to fox hunting , bull fighting the ivory trade , support a government that is causing harm to people ??? over this new benefit payment , lack of treatment in the NHS ??? people sleeping rough , food banks ect ect
