Siamp flusher noise

I have a Siamp Optima 50 cistern flusher. The short flusher has suddenly developed a thudding noise when operated.

It's fairly new. Does anyone know what I can do about it?

Check adjustments.
Check no foreign body in mechanism.
Check seating properly on base (nothing trapped in base of cradle).
Check issue is not with inlet valve.

One further thing though. Will adjusting the dead water sliding valve help?
