I have a Siemens washer dryer that will not spin with a full load.

If I take out half of the clothes, it spins fine.

I have checked the filter and thats clear.

Any ideas would be very welcome.

Check motor brushes for wear

First thing when they go is correct spin
then no spin
then no wash and poss motor damage

OK i've changed the brushes.

But it hasn't made any difference. It will still only spin with a half load.

I've checked the pump and thats fine.

Starting to think there is either a fault with the motor or main board.

Any help would be more than welcome.

Its not overloaded or something as simple as that is it?

Most washer dryers can only dry about half the weight they can wash. Check the manuals and check the maximum loads (and whether that is wet or dry washing)

Sometimes (depending on type) the brushes can stick in the brush holders.

Did the brushes move freely or were they stiff to fit in the holders. Occasionally the brushes need to be sanded with a fine emery paper to stop them sticking.
