Held with your fingers and thumb at the flattest angle you can against the surfaces of the tray AND the tiles and you'll get it all off beautifully without damaging anything. Takes some time to get all the dregs off.
Nah... I have dozens of them from my paste-up days. You need a sharp blade that can be used like a floor scraper... I've found the blades I linked to, to be the best when you master the correct angle of attack... I previously used standard Stanley blades but the sharp back edge eventually cuts your finger with the effort
