Sime format 80b

hey plumb people, my friends sime format boiler has an orange led flashing
which according to the manual mean a fault with the CH sensor.
I have changed the CH thermistor and the light still flashes.

the boiler pressure is ok.
the combined pressure and temp gauge on the front of the boiler
seems to be reading the pressure (just above 1.5) but says the temp is 0
even when roasting hot. could the gauge be the reason for the light?

also the timeclock doesnt work for the boiler and the pcb controls arent very
responsive..

any1 got any suggestions?

The obvious advice for you to give to your friend is to get a competent boiler engineer in to fix the boiler.

I always wonder why some people try to get involved with things which are outside their capabilities!

That is not the way to win respect and to keep friends.
