I JUST PURCHASE A NEW SINGLE ELECTRIC BUILT IN OVEN.
OLD OVEN WAS CONNECTED TO A 6MM GREY TWIN & EARTH CABLE ,NEW OVEN COMES WITH A PLUG ,HOW DO YOU REWIRE IT UP

Normal people come on here & say the old one had a plug, new 1 dosnt.

Do you not have a power point that you can use?

this unit has only got hole cut out off the wall ,in the access space for
the oven where there is the 6mm cable poking through the wall , the switch is wire up on the worktop , there is no socket behind the oven

I think I would check that the fuse rating is correct in the consumer unit & then fit a socket on the old oven lead.

Probably get shot down for saying thats what I would do, but I would.

New oven has plug, so just stick it in a socket and bob is your uncle. Virtually all new ovens are plug and play, no wiring involved.
