hi there

just finishing a kitchen refurb, sink is in worktop, flexi hoses refitted on to existing 15 mm thread no problem there.

there is however a leak somewhere in the plug hole/ waste fitting, sorry not sure of terminology.

its a screw type fixing with the stainless steel top part, and a white pvc base and rubber ring which just screws together with a hexagonal bolt i am sure you not what i am referring to.

i did use some silicone under the top metal part, maybe not enough though. and screwed the bolt quite well.
or maybe the leak is just the plastic s bend which i reused from before, and the rubber ring on there maybe leaking hard to tell.

should i maybe remove and reapply silicone but more of it incase its not watertight.

hope i am making sense

useally the sink wastes you have got seals no problem you don't need to over tighten them.
you sure its coming from around that seal.

hi
thinking about it, its probably unlikely to come from the top, because it would probably only be a tiny drip, not that its flooding out, ,
think i will look at just above s bend as this does not seem straight, i presume if i buy a new waste kit (trap) may fit better and solve problem. and the leak is in the first joint when it leaves sink somewhere and not the plug part

are waste kits standard size

thanks
