Sink waste fitting

Afternoon guys,

Have recently tried to replace my sink waste and have this one to do it with:

But the waste pipes that are in place don't fit on to the screw fitting on that waste. Can anyone advise / recommend / link to a u-bend (is that what they are called) that will fit on to it?

gk141054, you say sink, do you mean kitchen sink or bathroom/cloakroom basin?

Apologies, I was not clear / did not give enough info in the OP.

Yes it is in fact a basin in a bathroom.
