Skim over mould on ceiling?

We have a small amount of black mould on our bathroom ceiling. Now, the ceiling is artexed, so we want to get it skimmed anyway. The question is should we treat/clean off the mould first, or can we just skim over it and then paint with mould-resistant paint?

Any thoughts?

i would wash the mould off first using fungicidal cleaner.

Scrub it & clean it before skimming; mould can be bloody persistent if you don’t get rid of it & I've had it come through a skim!
