Skimming onto Smooth Render

Hi guys,

I have just a quick question for all the experienced plasterers out there.

Has anyone ever skimmed (finish) straight onto smooth concrete render? Or do you have to undercoat it first with bonding or browning (bonding in this case).

Can it be done?

Its interior by the way not exterior.

Shouldnt be a problem as long as its a sound base ,pva it first and then again just before you come to skim it or pva with some sand in it done the day before will also give a key
