Hi

I've just finished pulling all the tiles off in our bathroom and it's pulled a lot of the original skim coat off. I've removed all of the loose areas so am now looking to get everything back level ready to tile. The render is solid.

I've read numerous threads but what I what like to have clarified is...

1. Can go with something like Multifinish straight over the render and old skim coat?
2. Do I need to put any sort of bonding over it first?

Thanks,
Simon

The tile adhesive will make up any missing skim as long as the holes are not too deep.
