Skimming tapered edged plasterboards.

I need to skim plaster over some tapered edge plasterboards - can I do this in one hit, or should I plaster the tapered bit first to get it flush with the rest of the board & then plaster over it again when I do the rest of the wall?

If I did it in one hit, would the tapered recess show when looking at the finished plastered wall??

tape all your joints then skim over in the one go, you wont see the tapered joints.

When dealing with taper edge board joints I always mix up just enough to fill & level out the tapers first (& fill the screw heads) then just as it goes off, plaster the complete wall, 2 skim coats as normal. If you don’t fill out the depth of the taper first & attempt to build as you go, you may have problems when you start troweling off as the thicker plaster won’t cure at the same rate as the rest of the wall. Unless you get it right, it will pull & ridge & the tapers could show on the finished wall; goes without saying to tape the board joints.
