Skimming Walls

Hi any advice here would be grateful.
I am looking to have a few rooms re-skimmed. The rooms are approx. 13 * 13. What sort of price should I be paying to have the room skimmed. I have had some very varying quotes and do not want to be ripped off but at the same time want the job to be done well.
