I have boarded out a new bathroom ( in an old bedroom) nailing to the ceiling and dry-lining the walls.I may have to wait two weeks to get a decent plasterer.I had considered using tape and jointing compound for speed as I want to tile the floor etc..Will it make a significant difference to opt for this easier method?

Two weeks to wait for a decent plasterer is worth the wait. A taped and filled plasterboard wall is ok, but there's no comparison to a plastered finish if done properly.

Roughcaster.

Thankyou both for your comments.I have managed to fix up a plasterer for this weekend( and I have used him before)-I could not get in touch with him till today
