SKY box will not turn on

Hello all

My Amstrad Sky box won't turn on, This morning when I turned tv on, the picture had gone, leaving a blue screen with sky news at the bottom, it was frozen, pushed most buttons on remote and in the end turned it off at the plug. After a while tried to switch it back, but just stays on standby. Any ideas Thanks.

Sounds as if it's faulty. However, that's just an inspired guess because you forgot to mention the DRX... model number (on the label) and its age. has it been running nice and cool on an open shelf?
