I have a switch with a sky dish and a SKY 'smart' LNB code EL010 and after some research I have found out the reason its not hybrid but 'smart' is due to there being no dedicated wideband connectors on the LNB. That way you can plug your wideband feed into any of the connectors and it will do the work for you. I have 6 connectors on this LNB and two of them have a feed to a now redundant wideband box (sky Q). I thought this was going to be a simple swap by connecting my switch to the lnb using the exact same cable that was using the wideband signal when I had sky.

Turns out its not finding anything in wideband mode and I think its the LNB. I have eradicated everything apart from the LNB and I think it is too clever for the switch. If it is that I think the only other option of changing the LNB over to just a simple wideband LNB and not this smart one I have unless there are any other suggestions? When I tune a channel the switch receives the request but I am not getting a channel lock when it tunes the frequency for that channel.

What is the switch that you are connecting to it?

LNBs supplied by Sky are designed to work with Sky Q receivers only, there is no guarantee that it will work with other devices.
