You need a bit of decent satellite coax cable with an F plug on one end (for the Satellite box) and an aerial coax plug on the other end for the white socket in your picture.

Maplin will sell the bits you need.

It's uh, probably cheaper to get them from Satcure. Maplin specialise in ripping you off.

True, but we are talking about 2 plugs and a bit of wire, not a bulk order. So my view is that the convenience of going in to town to pick something up outweighs a couple of quid saved saved then having to wait for (and pay) for a delivery. But each to their own :D

Satcure have shipped me small orders for free.

'In to town' isn't always as quick and easy as you might think. :)

I wanted a couple of small items, looked at Maplin prices.
Then bought 10 of each on Ebay for less ££, next day delivery.
Sold the excess on Ebay.
Not only did I make a profit, I didnt leave my house.

Argos sell a 10 meter satellite extension lead for less than ten quid

Yeah, but what it is made of? 10m of WF100 is six quid, add some connectors and a coupler, and you've got a cable for pennies over ten quid which is almost certainly better quality.

Am I the only one who doesn't see a Sky connection in that picture?

Surely that isn't the sky feed from the dish or am I missing something?

Probably just cheap RG6 its made by Philex i think. Im using two for my Sky+HD with no noticable drop in signal quality.

I don't personally see the point in paying for a cheap, machine made cable when a proper one costs a pound more.

Assuming you want full Plus features from the extra box...

...and Sky wasn't going to supply the gear when you upgrade your subscription for the extra Plus box....

then you need an 8 output (octo) LNB to suit your dish. Here's a link to the sort of product LINKY

:)
