Someone has given me some nice new slabs, I'm going to lay them down the side of my house giving me a path to my shed.

I need to raise the level a bit, can I put some old concrete slabs down (I have laying about) and then lay the new slabs on a mortared bed on top?

Or should I bash the old concrete slabs up first?

Thank you.

Joe you can lay them over the top of flags. Just make sure everything is firm and well bedded down.
