Our kitchen has a floor made up of quite large natural slate slabs one of which has been damaged in the past and repaired with cement... and it looks a mess. Any ideas out there on what I can use to repair it?

I'm thinking maybe I can chisel out the old cement and fill the hole with some sort of compound/resin mix but having done a search on the internet nothing is turning up.

Cheers guys.
