Hi all.

I've taken up old floor tiles from a concrete base kitchen floor and used the sds to battle through and remove a stubborn layer of adhesive. Only problem is I'm left with a fair few chisel gouges although nothing really deeper than a few mm at any point.

I'm laying 400x600 riven slate (only calibrated top side).

Will I still need to use a levelling compound, or can I just use the adhesive to fill the gouges as I go, bearing in mind that I'll have to build up the adhesive levels anyway to accept the uncalibrated tiles?

Thanks in advance!
