Hi there - this is my first post so sorry if silly question.
I moved to a new build and having garden landscaped. Landscaper talked about putting sleepers next to my neighbour’s garage wall. Will this create damp in his garage?
Thankyou.

I certainly wouldn’t want sleepers tight up against my brickwork.....particularly if they are higher than the damp proof course ( which is generally visible in the brickwork).

Thankyou.
What would be a better way to do this please?

It’s best to leave an air space around brickwork just to keep things dry.
Although one sleeper wouldn’t do any harm so long as it is below the DPC, who knows what will happen in the future.....build a fence on it, maybe?

Many thanks. Will discuss with landscaper. This may be his intention and I could have misinterpreted what he said. ‍♀️

You could tack a thin piece of plastic against the back of the sleeper and leave a 1" gap to let some air circulate.
