sliding door to a bathroom

I wanted to fit a sliding door to a bathroom, lockable from the inside after you get in and which runs on the outside of the room.
But I've been advised by builders that the door will eventually keep coming off the rail and will be a constant hassle/headache.

Is this true ?

I has one on a wc.........no probs...you can get a locking special latch too
