I'd like to fit a sliding door on my bathroom. Would it make any difference if I use an mdf or solid wood?

I'm thinking the real wood would have more weight and feel a little more sturdy. But I'm a little concerned that it may warp causing the lock to mis-align.

Speaking of locks, I have two choices:

1. Hooked Bolt
2. Clawed Deadbolt

Is there any advantage to using one instead of the other?
Thx
d.
