    Morning all

I've discovered a slight drip from this drain off tail but can't see exactly where it is coming from.... all parts feel dry!

Is it worth me just trying to nip up the drain off part or is another culprit more likely? Is there any washers or other seals that can be replaced?

    Thanks

Get a torch, dry it all off with tissues and use the torch to see where a bead starts to form. The pad of your little finger is also a useful leak detector... Start high and work low.
Try to nip it but it may need changing... Isolate rad using valves, drain rad using drain cock then replace with just the rad tail part of a new valve.

Is it possible it might only leak when he system is cold? There seemed to be nothing last night whilst the system was running but then this morning there were a few deips.

It is of course possible that the hot pipework was just evaporating the small leak before it dripped off.

You can get hot leaks and cold leaks... Can make our job very frustrating... Often get called to leaks that are not present on attendance

Very possible will only leak when cold, as when heating is on everything will expand causing the leak to seal, let the system cool down and check for leaks, draincocks can be a pain in the arse! Just as easy to replace sometimes then mess around with as the rubbers perish
