im moving into a house this month with decking thats really slippy! ive got 3 kids so any advice on what to do with it would be great - products, tips, step by steps lol all greatly appreciated
As a temporary thing, sharp sand scattered around makes a big difference but inevitable ends up brought inside on the carpets, but yeah, proper cleaning is the best solution.
Cleaning the decking will help, but you need to do it every year. And then you should treat it as well......bit of a pain to be honest
My company started selling composite decking last year, I have changed my wooden decking for composite and I am really pleased with it. Just a quick sweep to get off any leaves or debris, and it isn't slippy at all, even when it is wet
Might we worth thinking about changing it and saving yourself hours of maintenance!!!
qplumb2010, you can buy composite decking from most DIY companies and PVC stockist, some online.
I still think it is a really good option when you have kids.
