Slow Close Hinges

I am making a tox box for my little ones, and have almost finished.

I have got the lid ready to be put on, but I want to put some sort of soft close hinge on it.
I have tried a couple of hardware stores for something like this, but they don't have any.

Am I barking up the wrong tree, or can I get something like this ?
If so, does anyone have any recommendations ?

Best to get a toy box lid stay, they are like the gas struts that hold your car hatch back open.

Or a cheap kitchen ikea soft close hinge if you a up to cut the mounting hole.

That won't have sufficient power to slow the weight of a lid, its only enough to damp the springs in the hinges.
