Hi, recently drained system to fit new bathroom suite, and not to my surprise, which seemed fine for 24 hrs, then no water was coming from the cold tap or filling the cistern. On subsequent research I pressumed I had an air lock and hence attached hose from mains to bath tap and forced water up there for a couple of mins. This seemed to do the trick for about a week, but now there is only a trickle, and the toilet cistern takes about 1.5 hrs to fill.

I am wondering if there was something wrong in the sequence of my turning off and on the water before and after the project.

Here is what I did

Turned of mains at kitchen sink, opened taps in bathroom to disperse water. Completed project, then ( I think) turned on the mains, then the bath tap, but not basin.

Could that have been my error? How can I rectify this?

Many thanks, Paul

There`s probably debris in the pipework from the feed cistern in the roof, you blow it back ,and later it finds the outlet again
