Hi
From chatting to you guys on a previous thread I'm sure my HW problems are due to my PHE.

Can I use inhibitors or other injectable chemicals to combat the sludge or do I have to have a complete powerflush?

I dont have any problems with any rads - no cold spots - so hopefully I dont have a big sludge problem just enough to effect the PHE. When I bleed the rads the water is a bit black though!!!

If the water is a 'bit black', then you need a chemical flush of some type done correctly.

Powerflushing is ok, but over rated.

You can remove the plate HE and soak it in DS40 on the system side and DS3 on the domestic side to clean it, but if your system is dirty it will soon block up again.
