Sludge remover

Hi
After months of luke warm water from my Worcester combi and the ch is starting to play up ie go off for no reason, I have decided to try and ease the problem by cleaning the system. In a previous post on this forum I was advised that the plate heat exchanger needed cleaning to cure my hot water issues but I've decided to try a thorough clean to see if that helps.
Can anyone recommend the best sludge remover for the job?

Ok I've used sentinel x800 in the system and seemed to be running better. I've always had a dodgy pressure gauge, in the sense that it's never moved when topping the system up so I've had to do it by "ear" with some guesswork involved. SoI've decided to replace it while I drain the system to put inhibitor in.
I've replaced pressure gauge and topped system up whilst observing pressure gauge and lo and behold the same problem. After topping system up for a good two minutes then bleeding then topping up the pressure gauge has hardly moved and sits at about 0.3 of a bar.
Any ideas as to why this is happening?

47p! The Sentinel stuff is over £15.

Is it a typo on the Wickes site? Surely worth a go at that price.

Has anyone tried this stuff to see if it is any good?

The thin tube attached to the gauge maybe a bit blocked and as a result not sensing the water properly.

I've put a brand new gauge in but still not reading the pressure

De-pressurise system, remove pressure gauge connection from boiler and check to see if the waterway is clear in boiler side of connection.

You will find it blocked with muck there.

How do I check for muck on boiler side. Hole into which gauge goes is quite small and it seems as though there is a pipe running through. Can I manually clean if it is full of muck?

Bought 3 of these in local store.They were in a 'bargain' bin with bags of hep20 fittings for 97p,flexi tap connectors for 47p,a programmable room stat for £4 and loads of other items.I was like a kid in a sweet shop

Our local wickes was selling off stuff last month to make room for the JG speed fit range
Bought 100 15 mm solder ring tees for £4 and quite a bit of other stuff, knocked down ,like you say
