Hello, Long time no post.

We decorated our living room a few years ago and it still looks in good nick but there a 3 areas were the paint and plaster have come off the wall. Its only a thin coat so it looks to be the most recent skim. The main problem is near the front door (party wall) the area is about 9 inch round and could easily be filled before decorating again but I don't want it to come off again, what is the best way to stop this please?

Before the plaster eventually and gradually fell of the paint flaked and peeled off, the plaster then became crumbly, the house is in a good state of repair and is well maintained.

Any ideas please?

Thanks in advance. :D

Difficult without actually seeing it. It could just be local de-lamination in which case a dose of PVA before filling will help but the base plaster underneath must be in good condition or you’ll be wasting your time. If the paint has peeled & the plaster underneath has crumbled, it could be affected by damp.
