Hello Experts,

We are redoing the communal hallway, and there and again there are small cracks on the wall in the woodchip wallpaper.

I have painted some area with Zinsser Cover Stain Primer Paint where we had some stain and have some left over - Should I give a good coat on the cracks with that same base paint as an undercoat to the cracks? Rather than the paint we would be using?

Or would you recommend something else?

Many thanks

I would mix the emulsion with toupret powder to make a paste and brush and thumb in cracks. Let it dry then emulsion over.
Have a damp sponge with you to clean off surface as you go leaving it tidy.

Less is more when it comes to filling in these kind of cracks on textured surfaces.
If you put too much filler on, it WILL notice when it's painted.

Tear don’t cut a thin strip of wood chip paper and paste it over the crack , then paint. The irregular edges with hide the repair .
