Small lean to roof over side of house.

Hi,

We have a side entrance to our house that I would like to cover. Its approx 1m wide by about 6m long. There is a wooden fence to the other side. I planned on using a piece of 6 x 2 to fix to the wall to hang the joists from. I am not sure what to do at the fence side as I only have about 2 fence posts to fit to, so I may look at putting more posts in to the ground. Not sure of best solution or the spacing, I planned to use just PVC as not to block the light too much, so more interested at the moment in the actual wooden frame construction. Picture Uploaded.

You could fix onto wall only , canopy style for such a narrow alley.

Hi That is an idea though fixing to the fence will give a bit more open head room.
