Hi All, looking fo a bit of help.

We have a small porch at the front of the house 5ft x 5ft approx, it is very cold during winter in the morning even though it has a radiotor in it. I believe from replacing roof lighting that there is no insulation in the roof space as it is a one way angled roof coming off the main exterior wall. Is it ok to load up the space with rockwool or similar and would I have to do anything else to avoid condensation etc.

Thanks in advance for any assistance....

Cheers

The best practice for insulating a pitched roof remains the same for a full roof or a small porch.

However, why not give it a go but leave a little gap above the insulation - google pics of pitched and cold flat roofs.?
I should imagine that you will have pretty equal temperatures above and below - hence a low risk of condensation.

Thanks, had a google of some pics and see what you mean. Classed as a cold roof just the same as my loft space.

Thanks

Why is that of concern, it's a porch , you don't live in it?
