Small telescopic tension rod for window

Hi.
I need a tension rod to place in between a window frame to hold pieces in place on either side. Aside from shower curtain rails which may be too flimsy I cannot find anything suitable on the net. The ideal item would be similiar to one of Draper's telescopic support rods but designed to fit in a 27in (68.58cm) space.

Any ideas?
