Hi,
I am renting a place with a Smeg dishwasher that does not work well. I first noticed that the powder is not released during the cycle and is still there dry at the end. But even putting a tablet in with the cutlery, it doesn't do well. Now I realise that the lights flashing at the end of the cycle were trying to tell me something -- which is, according to the manual, that it's unable to heat the water. Anything to try before I call the engineer (complicated as this is a rental and the owner is overseas)? Are not heating and not releasing the powder related or independent faults? Any ideas about possible call-out/repair costs? (All I know is that the machine is less than 7 years old... -- it doesn't even seem to have a number, either on the machine itself, or on the manual, which is very strange. And it's sort of encased in the kitchen workspace, so hard to get to.)
Many thanks for any help you may be able to provide!
