Hi can someone please help me!!! I have called a plumber out and he has cleaned my filter and checked the waste pipes and checked for kinked pipes and even maually put water into the dishwasher and the pump works but the programme seems to stop after about 5 mins! What is broken here??? An answer would be so much appreciated.

SMEG error codes....

E1 - 1st flashing, 5th lit - flood protection system activated.
E2 - 2nd flashing, 5th lit - safety pressure switch activated.
E3 - 1st, 2nd flashing, 5th lit - no heat in time allowed.
E4 - 3rd flashing, 5th lit - temperature sensor fault.
E5 - 1st, 3rd flashing, 5th lit - no fill.
E6 - 2nd, 3rd flashing, 5th lit - no drain in time allowed.
E7 - 1st, 2nd, 3rd flashing - flow meter detected when not fitted - reset required.
E9 - same code as E1, so how you tell the difference is beyond me, but is a related fault to E1 + E2.

Reset Procedure
Switch on and press the programme button 4 times, within 3 seconds. The 1st and 5th lamps should light........ You may have to do this several times before it works! Assuming that it does, switch off, count to 10, switch on and run the rinse programme only.

Be advised that solenoid failure/ breakdown/poor connections can corrupt the board and cause unlisted faults.

Hi your process of the 4 times 3 second thing worked. I turned it off and on in 10 seconds and have put a rinse cycle on. It just beeped but i can still hear the pump running, quite noisy! Shall i open the dorr and see what is happening in there????

can do see if water is spraying around ,

Hi, no there was no water spraying atall. The dishwasher is dry. Whats your next bit of advice? Im so fed up with washing up!!!

tip the mc back is there water coming out of the base ,if so you have a leak from inside the tub .

pull it out and tip it back thats the only way .

I think my plumber already did that. He pulled the machine out to check all the pipes etc and there was no water. he thought it was a technical fault with the cycles. Is this possible? So if there is no water what should i do next? do i call smeg directly? Sorry to ask u so many questions.

hes a plumber white goods is a completly different game .if you have water in the base the flood protection has come on ,he wont know that till hes removed the base and see if water is in there if you cant pull it out call smeg .you could have a blocked pipe under the mc to stop water going in he wont know which pipe it is ,also the pressure switch could be jammed, matrix on the side poss blocked with gunge .or circulation pump jammed all these things need to be checked.
