I was called to a rental property to have a look at a hob which wasn't working. the tennant told me the hob wasn't working and when she went to switch it on at the isolator it fell apart in her hands. The isolator was clearly beyond repair so i replaced it thinking that would solve the problem.
So with the switch replaced and the power back on the hob does nothing at all no lights no buzzing or humming at all! i have checked for power at the consumer terminals on the hob. there is 230v.
Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be/ if its worth trying to fix.
wondered if there might be any safety cut outs or little fuses inside i could check.
Any help is greatly appriciated.
Thanks
