SMEG tr1440ip induction cooker

hi guys i fitted a new 2 ring induction pod to the lhs of the hob but when you turn on the front left knob the display shows the correct ring but it fires up the rear ring and visa versa will this need configuring and if so what are the steps please

Should it have been installed 180 degrees around

but the large ring is at the back and the wires arnt long enough to turn it around

I would only be guessing but it sounds like it has possibly not been wired up correctly If it is new then ask the supplier.
