Smell from boiler like cats wee

hi hope u can help me!! just noticed a faint smell from the boiler this afternoon smells kind of cats wee. just hope someone could help me out on what it could be etc. also do i need to turn boiler off etc.

BTW boiler is a baxi combi 133he plus

In this weather few people will turn their boiler off until it fails.

As you may have to wait a few days to get an engineer you must make your own decision.

It would be safest to leave it off. But you will get cold!

do u know what the problem could be? heating and water seems to be running fine just a bit worried about the smell
 
There aren't any leeks or anything weeping from or near the boiler? Look up under with a torch.

If you had a leak on the heating side, the corrosion inhibitor in the system has a distinctive odour. More Bovril than moggies though!

i have had a look and there seems to be no leaks at all comin from the boiler!!

Could be the cat-alytic convertor.....OK OK I'll get me hat and coat..
 
I suppose that overheating electrics can smell like cat pee, so couldbe an electical issue
 
yep, the potty lynx's and puma's suffer from this, as do all the jaguar models.
