Smooth Ring

Hi all,

I am trying to find/make a ring of wood which will be circular in section (like a piece of dowel bent around into a ring). Ideally I would like it to be about 8" in diameter (which rules out bending dowel )

Any ideas on how I'd do this, or where I'd find such a thing??

Wood turning lathe and ring tools will do the job. Find a local woodturner who can help.
