what to replace plastic screw caps with on door frame

hi

as you'll see from the photo below - there are plastic caps covering screws around the door frame (new build property) (i've removed the cover on the left for the purposes of the photo)

I find them unsightly (and am having to repaint the skirting anyway) so was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on how to fill them.

I did wonder about chaulk - but it's a pretty large area to fill (14mm diameter). I wondered about trying to somehow source dowels to use and then paint (but suspect i'll have problems finding wood that size to fill the holes)


Any thoughts from any of you experts?
