Soakers again!

Cant seem to get any code 3 lead to make up soakers with...would there be any problem using code 4(this is for between slates...)

none whatsoever. i never use anything less than code 4.

Great thanks...thought it may have been much heavier(have never handled the stuff!)..and hence pushed up my slates.

Not heavier just slightly thicker.That is why 3 is usually used with slates.
